So I know my sweet tooth is pretty big, but I’ve recently been discovering that I really enjoy the savory crunch! My husband and I enjoy going to the Taco Tuesdays, and I always dip my tortilla chips into the cheesy beans they provide. Sooo good, my friend. But sometimes, I feel the need to try to “healthify” my meals in little increments so that they’re:
- Achievable
- Simple
- Not too dramatic
…as in it’s a success when I don’t end up reaching for the less healthy version because mine doesn’t fit the criteria!
And so today, I’m sharing a fun and easy recipe for oven baked tortilla chips! It’s exciting to watch the tortillas slowly dry out and become crispy! Oh, the magic. I hope you enjoy! I created a video you can watch to see the steps in action – just click on the image to see!
What you’ll need:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350.
Step 2: Cut your tortillas into wedges (I used a whole package of corn tortillas, around 30) and place them on a baking sheet!
Step 3: Bake for 6-7 minutes. Then turn the tortillas over to the other side and sprinkle on some salt! Bake for another 7 minutes.
Step 4: Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool! They’ll be so crisp and delicious – enjoy!
Step 5: For the dip, I combined a jar of green salsa, spicy tomato chunks, sour cream, and corn! Just mix it all together and create a beautiful combination of flavors!
I hope you enjoyed this chip & dip recipe, and let me know if you have any other ideas to snazz it up! xoxo
