I created these Easter Dollar Tree DIY project as a set for baby shower prizes! They turned out so cute, I love them, and the chalk eggs make it actually useful (in a fun sort of way) if you like doodling on sidewalks. These are perfect for kids and adults alike, and it took only 20 minutes to make about 30 chalk egg prizes! So let’s get started!
What you’ll need:
- Chalk eggs (4 packs of 6 eggs)
- Omelette cups (4 packs of 6 plastic glasses)
- Easter grass
- Fuzzy pom poms (as a “garnish”)
Step 1: Lay out one plastic glass (or what I’d like to call, goblet).
Step 2: Take a small handful of “grass” and roll it together, then place it in the glass. You may want to create a little crater in the center so that the egg has somewhere to hold onto.
Step 3: Place the egg inside the grass! See, told you this was simple!
Step 4: Add the extras to take this over the top! I added some fun fuzzy pom poms that I picked up on clearance from Target, and love the extra bit of color they add to the overall appearance.
And ta-da! You have a super cute Easter prize that kids will love, didn’t break the bank, but is also a fun and original take on the egg! You can obviously add more decorations (like doodles with permanent markers, playing with alcohol ink, etc), but I wanted to keep these simple.
